Sulfur Vents - Caidiocan, Valencia
Venture to another great spot where you can take marvelous pictures along the road. Not just any other typical roads being referred in here. We are talking about something better and extraordinary. The roadside of a certain place in Pulangbato, Valencia, Negros Oriental is surrounded by sulfur vents or hydrothermal vents. These vents exhaust white colored gas. Sometimes, thick gas occurs and are being exhausted by the vents especially when the area temperature becomes low or when it is raining. Tourists and photography enthusiasts visit this place to take some great photographs or when they are traveling to some other destinations and pass by the area. Many visitors claim that it resembles like the "Smokey Mountain". The area smells like a rotten egg, however, the obnoxious odor is actually bearable. There's a sign stating that the place has natural toxic gas and that is the reason why the place smells like rotten egg. The area in the past was surrounded with tiny holes and small bowl-like formations wherein the water seems to boil. But now, the area has been renovated and fixed for safety purposes. As you can see on the pictures, large three-level barricades have been constructed for the safety of the travelers and visitors.

It costs higher compared with other ways of public transportation, however, that transportation service is quite flexible. You can even ask them to wait and extend the trip to other local destinations if you wish.
